We want our home to be your home, so we foster a friendly, courteous, and helpful environment with excellent customer service for all who shop with us.   

• Rejuvenation – We are undergoing complete rejuvenation starting with a total reconstruction of the building’s interior using environmentally friendly materials and design. We commit to reducing waste and promoting clean living through how we operate our business. We are also restocking our shelves with food products from local vendors with a focus on nutrition, health and wellness. 

• Health – We commit to promoting strong physical and mental health within our company culture. Showing support for each other and exploring new healthy foods is a key element to staying physically and mentally strong. We extend this support through our helpful staff, external messaging, and through the quality of the products that we sell.  

• Sustainability for the environment, sustainability for ourselves is at the heart of Isla Vista Market. Providing a resource for strong physical and mental health while growing the consciousness of our community is our mission and the commitment we make to our employees and to our customers. 

• Community – Engaging with and supporting local producers, farmers, and businesses in the food service industry is what builds a strong community. Through special events, media outreach, and featuring products from local vendors, we do everything we can to build community and give our customers a connection with the people and organizations that surround them.  

• Accessibility – Serving a community of students brings a need for quality, accessibility and affordability. We meet this need with a selection of carefully thought-out inventory and a focus on making important items like water and bulk goods as affordable as possible. 

• Tradition – Isla Vista Market has as long-standing history within Isla Vista dating back to 1961. It is important to always remember where we came from and the journey that got us to where we are today. We may be modernizing our technology and adding state-of-the-art systems to help better serve our customers, but we will always hold our traditions close and celebrate the history that exists within the walls where we stand.
